Dental implant
Our Implant Centre offers you the expert care of a team of competent and experienced surgeons and specialists in dentistry. Dental implant is the closest possible replacement of natural teeth. It is seen as the ultimate long-term dental solution; and as it involves relatively high costs, plenty of consideration is given by patients prior to making this “investment’ in dental restoration. Our team puts nothing to chance in ensuring each of these “investments” a success. Thorough examination and evaluation of a patient’s conditions and expectations is carried out before this procedure is recommended.
IMPLANT CENTRE TEAM One of the keys factors in ensuring a successful implant is the knowledge, experience and skills of the surgeon which is crucial in determining the most suitable technique, material and accuracy of implant placement. Our Implant Centre team has a well- established collaboration that will ensure uncompromised care and quality from start to finish and beyond.

IMPLANT PROCEDURE
Mini implants (of 2.5mm) are often used to support loose dentures resulting from decrease of jaw bones height/depth.
Implant product/material All implant products (implant screw and abutment) are made with high quality titanium or zirconium oxide. Implant material has been improved to increase the rate of success and speed of recovery. Implant prosthesis Implant prosthesis (or crown) is attached to the implant as the replacement tooth. In some cases, dentures are chosen to restore full mouth function. TREATMENT PLAN Planning and Pre-op preparation A plan has to be determined for your implant treatment based on a thorough examination of your oral condition which includes an X-ray and study models of your mouth. Computer simulated planning is also available for multiple implants. Our doctor will first ensure that your bones and general health condition is ready to receive the implant. Depending on your general health and dental condition, this may include:-
Procedure The first step in an implant treatment is the placement of the implant in the jaw. This is done via a minor surgical procedure under local anesthesia. The implant is then left to heal over a period of 6-12weeks. Recovery The downtime of this treatment is very minimal. Recovery from the minor surgical procedure is a matter of hours; during which time patients will feel some discomfort and will be put on a soft diet and standard painkillers for about 24 hours. Post-op care It is important to step up the care of your oral hygiene during the healing period. It is equally important to take care of the restoration, once completed, through optimizing oral hygiene, regular check-ups and professional tooth cleaning, in order to maximize its lifespan beyond 10 years.
